The new funding will create jobs to help more families achieve financial and emotional stability
For the first time in 19 years, the Riverside County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) will receive a significant increase in funding, resulting from Governor Newsom’s budget signed today. The additional $5.4 million will provide financial and emotional stability to families, and in return, aid the local economy.
Regional Partners to Seek Expansion of Services during Excessive Heat Waves
PALM SPRINGS – The County of Riverside and City of Palm Springs partnered this week to open a temporary cooling center for homeless residents to escape the evening heat. The overnight cooling center ran from Tuesday to Thursday evening. The pop-up center provided 70 overnight beds combined from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
